Re: ASNT 2018 Faculty Grant
Dear Dr. Eisenmann:
It is my pleasure to inform you that Iowa State University was selected to receive a 2018 ASNT Faculty Grant Award. The ASNT Board of Directors approved this grant award based on the proposal from you titled, “Development of a Course in Applied Nondestructive Testing/Evaluation”.
The first payment of Faculty Grant funds, in the amount of $5,000, will be provided in May 2018. The balance of payments is addressed in the enclosed Policy G-41A, ASNT Scholarship and Grant Awards, Appendix B, so you can become familiar with the distribution process.
We will recognize you and Iowa State University at the Annual Awards Banquet at the 2018 ASNT Annual Conference in Houston, TX during the week of October 28-31, 2018. As an award recipient, you will receive two complimentary tickets to this awards banquet, as well as complimentary registration to the conference.
As an award recipient, you will be featured in an upcoming issue of Materials Evaluation. We will need your biography and a professional photograph. Please send these to ASNT’s Program Coordinator, Jessica Ames (james@asnt.org) by Friday, May 25, 2018.
A written Final Report on the completed study or activity must be submitted one month following the stated completion date of the proposed program that would describe in detail the course outline, textbooks, references and laboratory materials that were developed and include originals of any audio-visual methods developed. The report needs to be submitted to the Jessica Ames at the email address above.
The Final report shall be reviewed and approved by the Financial Award Committee. In cases where the Committee may find that all of the work or documentation of the work is not adequately presented in the Final Report, the Committee shall instruct ASNT International Service Center to request the faculty member to submit a revised report.
